At their core, every ABS innovation functions as a nutrient delivery system and a temporary scaffolding that aids ecological restoration efforts. Each cured bamboo stalk is infused with beneficial microbes and contains a customizable array of organic compost, nutrients, plants, or fish food that is tailored to treat a specific spot. As the unit breaks down over several years, the bamboo itself nourishes the surrounding environment allowing for a set-it-and-forget-it approach to ecological restoration.

Bamboo is a perpetually harvestable, abundant material that's perfect for a chemical-free, emission-free manufacturing process due to its physical characteristics.

No. Bamboo is invasive so we do not plant any bamboo. We selectively harvest unwanted culms from our network of grove owners. We cure and sanitize the culms to ensure our final products do not accidentally grow more bamboo.

We infuse the bamboo with our customized “soil medicine.”
As the unit breaks down, the bamboo itself nourishes the surrounding environment allowing for a “set it and forget it” approach. No cleanup required, no synthetic chemicals left behind.

Yes, really! All of our raw materials that we use and the products that we create are carbon-negative, and all of our business processes are emission-free. We believe being carbon-negative by Day 1 of production is in our sights.
